Sony has announced at its SOE Live convention that PvP combat will be coming to Landmark in two weeks time, starting August 27.
Peace-loving beta players fear not; combat is entirely consensual, so you won’t find yourself being stabbed in the guts while out exploring or building a house.
Those who do sign up for multiplayer combat will find three basic weapons - the Conjurer’s Staff, Soldier’s Blade and Marksman’s Bow. There’s also armor to wear and even some landmines to make use of. More goodies, tools and weapons will be added down the line.
All players will have to be a bit more careful, even if they’re not keen on getting in a scrap. Death is coming to Landmark, with fall damage and drowning now integrated - jumping off cliffs is no longer a particularly good idea.
