Ubisoft’s Massive Entertainment has just released a behind-the-scenes look at the Snowdrop Engine which powers the upcoming Tom Clancy’s The Division, their next generation multiplayer shooter.
Snowdrop is Massive’s in-house tech engine and ”supports the philosophy of the studio to work better, not bigger,” and lend content creators the freedom to explore ideas.
This new developer diary comes out of this week’s GDC in San Francisco. Tom Clancy’s The Division is due for PC, Xbox One and PS4 later this year. Ubisoft Reflections is also on the project.
The Division is set in New York after the United States has collapsed following a disease outbreak.
