Ubisoft has released Riders of the Rustlands, the first of six planned DLC packs for Trials Fusion. It’s freely available now for Season Pass owners, and at £3.99 for those without one.
The pack adds ten new tracks, eighteen new challenges and lots of new objects for the game’s track editor.
Oddly enough there’s even a bit of story background (in Trials??) for the new content. ”In Riders of the Rustlands, players will meet the forgotten people that live just outside the boundaries of Trials Fusion,” say Ubisoft. ”Ignored by the government and left to their own devices, these rogues are forced to use, build and scavenge what they can to make a living.”
Sounds a bit more Mad Max than the shiny futuristic setting of the main game. Hope you get to run over some wasteland mutants, but sadly I doubt it. The ten new tracks consist of six Classic Trials tracks, two Supercross tracks, one Skill Game, and one FMX track. Objects for the editor, meanwhile, continue the ‘wasteland gangs’ theme - warehouse, smashed-up vehicles and that sort of thing.
You can grab the Trials Fusion Season Pass for £15.99, which will net you Riders of the Rustlands and all future content. The next pack is Empire of the Sky, set amongst some strange floating islands. That one’s due in August.
