Great news for Middle-earth fans hoping that Monolith Production’s Shadow of Mordor will be swimming in richness because the studio has confirmed it’s ‘wholly single-player’ with not even co-op interfering.
This is to be their second Tolkien-based production after 2012’s Guardians of Middle-earth. Shadow of Mordor has us play as a resurrected Ranger taking out Orc leadership.
A very enticing feature of this new game is its Nemesis system which procedurally generates foes, and they remember well what you did to them if they survive.
@TobiasKarlsson_ Alas, no co-op. Shadow of Mordor is being crafted wholly as a single-player experience.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor releases on PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One and PS4 later in 2014. Events in the game take place between The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings where we play a ranger with Wraith-like abilities.
