Even if you don’t have enough cash to splash out on your very own [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Predator_%28film%29]Predator for Mortal Kombat X, you’ll be able to at least give the handsome fellow a try out.
Seapking to Youtuber Angry Joe, franchise creator Ed Boon confirmed that the game’s Challenge Towers will periodically rotate in DLC characters for players to sample.
Challenge Towers are essentially constantly changing challenges that will set you up with a specific character and ask you to complete certain goals. One example in a previous game gave you control of commando badass Stryker, and tasked you with using one of his special moves to whip out a gun and kill some zombies. It spices things up outside your familiar 1V1 brawling, basically.
“There’s going to be three towers in the Living Towers section,” Boon explains. “One changes every hour, one changes every day, and one is called the Premier Tower, which is kind of like an event tower.”
“So for instance, if [Jason Voorhees, a DLC character] comes along, you’re going to have a Jason tower that you play as Jason. You can even use that tower if you didn’t purchase Jason. So it’s really cool, it gives the players a taste of what the character is like and what it’s like to play them.”
No-one wants to play as Jason, Ed, we want to shoot lasers at people while invisible. Mortal Kombat X drops this April 14 for PC and consoles.
