EA and Visceral have revealed the recommended specifications for the Battlefield: Hardline beta, which kicks off today on PC and consoles. For now at least, you’ll need a reasonably beefy setup.
Hardline requires a 64-bit version of Windows, 8GB of RAM and at least a quad-core processor. That’s roughly twice as demanding as the minimum specs listed for 2013’s Battlefield 4.
”Machines with 4GB of RAM or less may experience issues in the Battlefield Hardline open beta, as gameplay performance for lower-end PCs is still being optimized,” says EA. Of course, since the beta is free, you’ll at least be able to see if your rig is capable of running Hardline before splashing out on the game.
This week’s beta features three modes; car-chasing Hotwire, bank-robbing Heist, and strategic command Hacker mode. There’s also a full progression system and a bunch of new maps, items and weapons to try out.
Battlefield: Hardline is set for a full release on March 17. Here’s the full specs as listed by EA.
