As might have been expected with Fallout 4 finding it’s way into consumer hands, the gougers are already out in full force trying to turn a profit on the limited edition Pip Boy package of the game. The Fallout 4 Pip Boy Edition was offered at $120 or £80.00, but some listings on Ebay have gone as high as £299.00 or around $450.
The Auction and Buy It Now pages of Ebay aren’t showing much difference for the game, but it can be expected that as the holiday season nears, these prices will most certainly get more ridiculous as well. The game is already receiving reviews, most of which are confirming it to be worthwhile. Our own reviewer marked the game at a 8.5 recently.
It’s always unfortunate to see scalping and price gouging the wake of a good game’s release, especially given the hype that both Fallout 4 and its limited edition version have received. It’s possible that retailers will continue to offer the limited edition a few more times as they had leading up to the release date. Otherwise, it seems as though it’s going to become nearly impossible to find Fallout 4 Pip Boy Edition for under £150.00 going forward.
