The world of Witchers might not be the most holiday friendly universe, but CD Projekt Red is offering players the opportunity to change that in a new contest with a rather grand prize. You might want to check your local laws about the prize if you plan on entering this one.
Announced on the official Witcher 3 website, CD Projekt Red is asking modders to come up with the best holiday-themed mod for Witcher 3 to be entered into a contest. Sure Geralt isn’t too holly or the jolliest of fellows, but participants are encouraged to come up with the most creative addition of festivities in to brighten the monster-filled world. Those participating are asked to upload their mod to the Nexus Mods website with “Witcher Mod Contest” tagged in the “file admin” options and fill out the applicable form on the Witcher 3 contest page. What do you get if you win? Feast your eyes on the prize:
That’s right. The winner of this contest gets a full-size Witcher Silver Sword supposedly forged by legendary weaponsmith Hattori himself! (or at least based on the elf’s prized swords in the game) Participants must ensure that they are able to receive objects of this nature through the mail. Check with your local laws about fantasy-fiction inspired weaponry. Either way, the contest is open now and will close on January 5, 2016.
It’s certainly an awesome way to share in the holidays. And who knows? We might even end up featuring your mod here on GameWatcher! Good luck!
