The World of Warships closed Beta has kicked off today, offering a select group of players the chance to test out the naval combat game.
The Beta includes five maps and over fifty U.S. and Japanese warships.to test drive. You can’t get you hands on the specialist aircraft carrier class, but everything else should be playable.
That means you can try out speedy Cruisers, torpedo-packing Destroyers, and heavy-hitting Battleships. As well as upgradeable ships crews and commanders, Wargaming has added tools like smokescreens to aid your ships in combat, as well as dynamic weather patterns that affect visibility. In a new Divisions mode, players can team up in threes to take on opponents. In the future this will unlock new abilities, customisation options and gear, but in the Beta you’re just battling for bragging rights.
You can sign up for a chance to get involved in the Beta over on the World of Warships website.
