Slightly Mad Studios released the first Track Expansion for its crowd-funded racer Project Cars yesterday, adding New Zealand’s Ruapuna Park circuit along with three new cars. As if you needed any more cars.
“Hosting some of New Zealand’s most exciting racing events, including the prestigious Lady Wigram Trophy and an annual round of the New Zealand V8s series,” says Slightly Mad of the Ruapuna circuit, “the track’s main 3.3 kilometer layout runs in an anti-clockwise direction and its challenging layout incorporates many fast sweeping corners that reward smooth and precise drivers.“
The Audi Ruapuna Speedway Expansion also comes with three new Audi racing cars; the Audi R8 LMP900, the Audi R18 e-tron Quattro, and the Audi 90 IMSA GTO. Those will only be available in the paid version, but owners of the base game will also get the Audi A1 Quattro for free as part of the game’s On Demand approach to new content.
As another bonus, players will get the second Community Liveries pack, with new colours for the Ford Escort Mk 1 and six real-life DTM liveries for the Mercedes 190E 2.5-16 Evolution2. You can grab the Audi Ruapuna Speedway Expansion for £4.49 on Steam.
