As we inch ever-closer to the inevitable Blizzcon 2016 reveal of Sombra - despite everyone's hard work during these long months of ARG madness - it seems the long-overdue character reveal has happened in a way you either saw coming or simply wanted to forget could ever happen: a store page jumping the gun.
Much like how many E3 reveals slip through the cracks, Sombra - the ever-teased Overwatch character - had some key concept art leak to the Blizzard storefront this morning. Likely due to go live at the time of her Blizzcon reveal in just a few short days, it seems as if those in charge of the store's publishing times stepped off a little early sending some crystal clear artwork of Overwatch's shadow hero out into the wild.
The artwork leak - likely to be a print available for sale later this week - echoes the look many have expected the character to take on through some of the more hazy, skeptical links to have cropped up over the last few months. While it does little to answer the question of what type of weapons she'll eventually use, it looks like she'll be making use of some rather scary looking fingertip shock strings.
Adding further legitimacy to the artwork comes from the watermark signature in the bottom-right belonging to Mr. John Polidora - a man who's LinkedIn page cites him as having done Overwatch character design work for some time now.
Her long-winded ARG is said to be leading to a reveal of sorts today. So while this leak likely isn't part of the plan, we're still due a little extra something at some point today.
