Bethesda have released the launch trailer for first-person stealth action game Dishonored 2. The release trailer explains the game’s story premise and introduces the main characters with the return of the powerful outsider which is all centered around Emily’s story.
The trailer shows the return of Delilah who was the main antagonist of the Dishonored DLC Witches of Brigmore. Delilah has usurped the throne from Emily, and should you play as Emily in the campaign, has taken the original games hero, Corvo as her prisoner.
The outsider who was the mysterious being who granted Corvo his powers in the original offers Emily the same deal and grants her new powers to retake her throne and save her empire. The game allows players to play as either Corvo or Emily in the main campaign each having different playstyles and encounters. Both Emily and Corvo will react differently to the story which will provide the game with some replayability for players looking for different experiences.
The small amounts of gameplay shown in the trailer looked promising but with Bethesda’s policy of not handing out review codes until launch day, we’ll have to wait and see if the game lives up to the much-beloved original.
