Games have put us on the wrong side of the law for too long, having us rob banks, jack cars, and murder innocent bystanders at whatever time the whim takes us. That’s set to change with the upcoming release of Police Simulator - Law Enforcement, letting us finally put those digital crooks behind bars.
Police Simulator will have you controlling a US cop, tackling everyday work in a crime-filled city. Built in Unreal Engine 4, the developers promise a lifelike metropolis that’s open and fully explorable for patrolling players. You’ll take command of authentic police vehicles along with a wide range of equipment, from radios, handcuffs, and tasers, to lethal implements like guns.
You can also hop into a two-player cooperative mode and tackle crime with a friend, giving you some extra backup for those dangerous calls. Publisher Astragon Entertainment is prolific purveyor of Steam simulation games, and developer Bigmoon Games was behind the Jagged Alliance update, Back in Action.
Neither the publisher nor the developer have an excellent track record, but there’s room out there for a solid police sim. We’ll have to wait and see whether or not Police Simulator - Law Enforcement is that game.
