Point-and-click adventures have explored some dark places in the past, but a new project is going right into the two World Wars. Sebastian Frank: The Beer Hall Putsch is a point-and-click adventure with a rather colorful art style that intends to tell a deep and somber story and the game’s creators are looking for funding to bring the project to fruition.
The game was brought up on Indiegogo recently, seeking €30,000 to complete funding for the game. The main team behind it is composed of three members: Co-founders Cláudio Fernandes and José Nunes and Lead Designer and Animator Joaquim Borges. The team is seeking the sum asked for in order to bring many other talented folks on to help complete the game.
The Story follows immediately after World War I, when Germany is devastated and paying reparations to France and Great Britain. Hitler is slowly rising to power and though many are convinced he is the leader the country needs, the protagonist, Sebastian Frank, knows Hitler well, having gone to school and served in World War I alongside him. Frank heads up a group intent on keeping Hitler from seizing power. Can Frank and his friends survive the changing times and coming twisted evolution of Germany?
The game has 24 days left to be funded and the cutoff date will be February 18, 2016. Check out the trailer below and visit the Indiegogo to find out more about the game and donate.
