The Division has been a source of constant attention for some time. Ubisoft has been hyping their curious MMO-shooter and folks have responded en masse. In fact, so many players have gained eligibility for the Beta that Ubisoft can’t handle them all and now has a lot of players on an ever growing waiting list.
An update was released on the Ubisoft blogs for The Division regarding status on when players can expect to get into the game. Obviously, players that pre-ordered have priority and Ubisoft has promised that these players will be ”working closely with our partners to ensure that you receive it tomorrow when we send out the next batch of keys.”
Unfortunately, for players who didn’t pre-order The Division the situation for getting into the Beta looks much more bleak. These players are on a waiting list to get into the Beta and while Ubisoft promises that they will attempt to allow as many players as possible to try out the game, ”space will be severely limited for the rest of the beta testing phase due to high-demand.”
At the very least, this reveals that player support of this game is higher than even Ubisoft anticipated. We’ll be looking forward to playing the full version of the game when it comes out on March 8, 2016 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Meanwhile, the Beta will be lasting through the weekend and ending on Sunday. Cross your fingers for an open space or pat yourself on the back if you’re in there already.
