The latest trailer for multiplayer horror game Dead By Daylight seems to be teasing the inclusion of Jigsaw from the SAW series of movies as their latest DLC Killer - but how can he possibly play?

You can check out the teaser trailer here, which shows a camera with some sort of trap on it, and the phrases "Let's Play A Game" and "Do You Want To Play A Game?" which are popular quotes from the SAW horror series. This wouldn't be the first time Dead By Daylight has had popular scary movie icons appear, as it has previously featured DLC introducing the killers from the Halloween, A Nightmare On Elm Street and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
SAW, on the other hand, will require a completely different type of Killer from what is usually featured in Dead By Daylight, as Jigsaw only kills his victims with traps and lethal games - not with direct attacks, as every Killer in Dead By Daylight, including the more unusual Freddy Krueger, has done so up to this point. Speculation is rife on the game's Subreddit, with good ideas such as the Killer not actually moving through the world and instead viewing the game through cameras and activating deathtraps, or all the Survivors having bomb collars and have to escape within a certain time or they all die.
There's certainly a lot of scope to make Jigsaw the most interesting Killer Dead By Daylight has seen so far.
The SAW series started in 2004 and comprises 8 movies. The most recent, Jigsaw, came out in October last year after a seven-year gap, although didn't arrive to particularly favourable reviews. There are two videogames based on the SAW movies that came out in 2009 and 2010 respectively, although only the first game came to PC. Neither are that great. Hopefully Dead By Daylight will do for the series what it did for Halloween, A Nightmare On Elm Street and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and actually give them a good game appearance.
The one horror movie icon who will never come to Dead By Daylight is Jason from Friday The 13th, who has his own game.
