Revealed during The Game Awards 2019 as the first PS5 game, action title Godfall avoided the spotlight until a recently-leaked internal teaser began making rounds.
Described as a “Full Internal Early 2019 Teaser”, the video, which is over a minute long, gives us a better look at Godfall’s combat and visuals.
Godfall Internal Teaser
Godfall’s bright fantasy world looks stunning, featuring some impressive vistas but also imposing armor and weapons. The internal teaser showcases a number of different enemies wielding weapons such as hammers, swords and axes, and employing different moves.
The Godfall internal teaser also suggests that combat will place an emphasis on slower, weightier attacks. The player character can be seen backpedaling and sidestepping to avoid enemies.
Naturally, as this, reportedly, is a leaked internal teaser from early 2019, it’s likely that this doesn’t represent Godfall as it is now or as it will be when it launches. You can watch the Godfall internal teaser for yourself over on Reddit.
Godfall is a third-person looter-slasher set in a bright fantasy universe. In it, players engage in melee battles and earn increasingly better loot. The title is currently slated for a Holiday 2020 release on PC, via the Epic Games Store and PS5.
