Recently FFXIII director Motomu Toriyama has spoken with Famitsu magazine and has allayed fears the game would slide out of the calendar year.
He tells the mag everything is going as planned and ‘09 is the year for FFXIII, with the demo releasing this April. It’ll be around an hour’s worth and includes the full game battle system.
”Development on FFXIII is still progressing towards a 2009 release and is going smoothly, he told the magazine,” reports IGN.
”He also noted that that the game’s demo version, which will be included with the Japanese release of Final Fantasy Advent Children Complete in April, was finished in December.” Famitsu managed to coax some more from the Square Enix man on the demo.
”Players will be able to play for about an hour, he said, confirming past reports at a sizable play experience. There may actually be a multi-faceted side to the demo, as Toriyama revealed that Snow and Lightning will not meet during the course of the demo. Players will be able to enjoy the stories for the two characters separately,” continued IGN’s report.
Final Fantasy XIII is being released on Xbox 360 and PS3 this year if everything remains on track.
