Whiteout is concentrating on digital titles and have some ”very exciting concepts” going on, and they’re using CryEngine 3. It will knock ”socks off.”
”We’ve got some very exciting concepts under development,” said co-founder Joel Fagerlund in a Whiteout press release. ”We are currently working on a bigger project in CryEngine 3, and thanks to the excellent technology and support from Crytek, we have been able to carefully hand-craft a playable prototype that will knock your socks off.”
Thanks to digital titles Limbo and Joe Danger the ex GRIN developers got inspired. ”At GRIN, we saw the community’s extraordinary response to Bionic Commando: Rearmed. Couple that with the fact that new releases such as Limbo and Joe Danger have been so well received, we know that the digital marketplace is vibrant and thriving,” he said.
Whiteout is co-founded by Joel Fagerlund, Simon Rodriguez and Konstantin Schutte. GRIN developed titles like Bionic Commando, Wanted: Weapons of Fate and Terminator: Salvation. They eventually went belly up after poor reception and sales.
