EA distributes Green Day: Rock Band, deal with MTV runs out soon

Publisher EA has agreed to distribute the latest Rock Band title, all about those Green Day punks, on behalf of MTV Games and Harmonix.

Recently EA revealed its distribution deal with MTV Games runs out by March end, and they’re unlikely to renew it. A band split, how cliche.

Yes the rockers EA, MTV and Harmonix are to part ways come March, as the publishing giant wants to focus more on their own stuff, they revealed during their fiscal call.

”The previously announced Green Day: Rock Band will be published by MTV Games and distributed by EA. Stay tuned for news of MTV Games’ other titles soon,” Harmonix told Gaming Target, reports VG247.

Green Day: Rock Band releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii later this year.
