Final Fantasy XIII's cut content is enough to make a seperate game?

According to art director Isamu Kamikokuryou from Final Fantasy XIII all that cut stuff from the game could likely make a whole new game!

What did gamers lose out on? A full zone around Lighting’s home, a secret Nora resistance base and an amusement park Nautiuls with a zoo.

The info comes from fansite FF Reunion who sources an interview with some Japanese magazine and Kamikokuryou-san.

”Apparently, the design team created a full area surrounding Lightning’s home. This area resembled a park. There was also a secret base for resistance group Nora inside a shop somewhere. Nautiuls Park, an amusement facility, at one point also included a zoo,” reports Andriasang, who translated the piece, likely from Famitsu magazine.

The content was dropped because Square Enix thought the game may have gotten a little too big, and they didn’t want to skew the game balance either. Maybe one day fans could get to see these places in the form of some DLC?
