Rumour: Activision reassign James Bond team onto Call of

It’s no secret that Activision wants more from the Call of Duty franchise, especially after the success of Modern Warfare 2 and its map pack gold.

Apparently they’ve sacrificed Raven Software’s James Bond game to get more content lined up for Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops - map packs!

This rumour rumbling comes from ”multiple sources familiar with the situation,” report G4TV, that a new stealth-focused James Bond game has been shelved to reinforce the upcoming autumn due Call of Duty with map pack content.

There are two teams at Raven, and one is finishing up Activision’s new 2010 property, Singularity. The other team was behind last year’s Wolfenstein reboot and was looking into making 007 practice his stealth cunning - and they still might be.

Singularity releases June 29th after being setback with delays. The James Bond team are tasked with producing map packs for Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops - Acti want to cash in on the fever that fans get when new DLC is available for the series.

”Activision does not comment on rumor and speculation,” says the publisher.

Call of Duty: Black Ops releases on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and PC this November.
