Yakuza 3 retailed here in Europe last week. This new entry will be helmed by series director Toshihiro Nagoshi, with date and details unknown.
It was Famitsu who reported the huge tease for Yakuza fans, thanks to Andriasang’s translation. The picture trailer ended with ”a new challenge for Ryu ga Gotoku starts”, which is the Japanese name for the series.
In between the flashes of still images the following text appears:
• The boy knew it
• The graveness of the crimes he continued to commit
• But the boy still doesn’t know
• The cruel fate that awaits
• Also, the boy knows
• That fighting is his destiny
Are you a fan of the Yakuza series, videogamer? Sega has been reluctant to bring over the game from Japan and release it to a Western audience given the poor reception in sales of the previous two but they finally gave in and worked on Yakuza 3 for the US/EU.
