Analyst Michael Pachter says ”another 10-20” will walk over ”next few months.” Acti will restock with ”skilled developers” though, so no worries.
”We think that recent Activision share weakness has been compounded by additional departures at Infinity Ward which accelerated this week, and we expect another 10-20 employees to depart over the next few months,” said the notes, reports GameSpot.
”In our view, the company will likely replace the departed employees with skilled developers, and while increased competition may impact sales of future versions of Modern Warfare, we expect the company to put out a competitive product,” he added.
The ‘brain drain’ may be damaging right now but Activision will flash some cash and have those empty chairs filled again - however Modern Warfare is likely to lose its edge over the competition if the exodus continues. There’s blood in the FPS water…
