NPD: Xbox 360 beats PS3 and Wii in June, sales increase of 132%

The new Xbox 360 slim has managed to savage even Wii sales in June, according to the NPD’s US sales figures. They sold 451,700 units.

That’s a year-on-year bump of 132% for Microsoft’s little next-gen that could. Nintendo Wii wasn’t far off with 422,500 sales. It was DS who won it.

The PlayStation 3 shifted 304,800 which is a 97% sky rocket compared to June of last year. The Nintendo DS smugly took 510,700 this June winning the throne. PSP managed 121,000 which is double that of its June ‘09 performance.

The new Xbox 360 slim has proven hot in sales with the UK’s GAME retailer describing ”amazing demand” during their midnight launch at over 400 stores. Have you got yourself a new shiny Xbox 360 yet? It has built-in WiFi and a 250GB HDD.
