It’s set in Vietnam, gamers know it and now Los Angeles voice actors know it. It mentions the US SOG group, which were covert ops in…
…Vietnam! See how it all adds up? The ‘Studies and Observations Group’ operated from 1964 to 1972 carrying out covert operations against those native commies. The casting call appears to mention four major characters we’ll be interacting with.
Barnes, ”a fiercely patriotic veteran of WW2… A solid leader, possessed with an excellent ability to assess and respond to any situation quickly and decisively”.
Joseph Lewis, a “very physically fit” young black guy in his 20s.
Jason Hudson, a white man in his 30s with “over 15 years of military experience, making him an excellent tactician and mission co-coordinator”.
Kristina Ivanova, a Russian-born expert in martial arts and CIA operative who’s “calm to the point of being cold and detached”.
VG247 nabbed the casting call sheet, and unscrupulously blabbed all about it on the Internets. We would never violate Hollywood so, but since it’s already out there we’ll now do our public service by seeing it blabbed that bit further.
Whoever these voice actors are they’ll need to do some motion capture too. Hopefully Activision and Treyarch will just come out and say ‘Vietnam’ this E3.
