Square Enix boss Yoichi Wada pours ice water over anything being finalized regarding Versus XIII possibly heading for the Xbox 360.
It started by Wada-san saying Square will be ”looking into it internally until right before the formal announcement,” referring to if Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be heading for PlayStation 3. Naturally the Internet went ablaze with Xbox 360 getting it too.
This didn’t sit all that well with loyalist PlayStation and Final Fantasy fans, but Wada-san soon decided to comment on his remark at the publisher’s fiscal meeting. “It looks like the ‘net is heating up. Versus on Xbox?,” he tweeted, reports VG247.
“What I said at the earnings press conference was just that until a formal announcement is made at the announcement time, all points about all titles are not finalized.” It’s all been a slightly long winded way of saying ‘we’re not telling you yet’.
