”When we invent something first like Natal, while we have a researcher working with the product group for the first version we already have a researcher thinking about the second version down the road,” said Microsoft’s Research Asia department head Hsiao-Wuen Hon, he was chatting with The Sydney Morning Herald, reports MCV.
”We certainly hope we will continue to be holding that technology.” So do us gamers because we don’t want a repeat of Microsoft’s last add-on performance - HD DVD.
The boss also noted that Microsoft really should have been a leader in the motion space, and not seen as a follower: “Looking back I can say we probably should have done more in the consumer space.” Project Natal is due this holiday with launch titles.
