The new device is ”fantastic” said CEO Yves Guillemot, and will prove ”extremely successful.” Studios won’t need to ”redo completely” all their games for Café.
A lot of the HD work for Xbox 360 and PS3 should translate over to the new E3-bound Nintendo console, says a confident Ubisoft at their investor call.
”The platform Nintendo is coming with is really a fantastic platform. We think it will be extremely successful,” said Ubi boss Guillemot.
”What we see is that we will be able to leverage a lot of the work we do for Xbox 360 and PS3 while we create games for the platform.”
”So we will not have to redo completely the games that we create. We’ll be able to use all the capacity the console is giving but also use all the work we do for the other platforms.” Technical specifications for the new console haven’t been released yet, however rumour has it packing a little more punch than the Xbox 360 and PS3 hardwares.
