Final Fantasy XIII-2 dated in the West

Square-Enix has officially announced the release date for Final Fantasy XIII-2 in Western countries. The JRPG will be released in North America on January 31, 2012, while European territories will be getting it a few days later on Feburary 3.

The announcement came during a televised Final Fantasy special on a Japanese broadcast station.

Square-Enix and Sony will also be releasing a special Final Fantasy XIII-2 themed PlayStation 3 console much like they did with XIII in 2009. The special 320GB PS3 will have a black and pink color scheme with series heroine Lightning gracing the case. The bundle will cost ¥37,960 in Japan.
