inFamous 2 beta invites suspended thanks to PSN outage

Chalk down another unfortunate casualty to the list of inconveniences caused by the current PlayStation Network outage: inFamous 2 beta invites have been suspended under further notice.

inFamous 2 developer Sucker Punch tweeted: Handing out beta codes you can’t redeem would be cruel and unusual; all contests and giveaways suspended until the PSN servers are back up.

Sony has still not let on how long the outage would go; it has already eclipsed the Easter weekend, ruining many PlayStation 3 gamer’s online gaming holiday plans. Talk about a sucker punch.

inFamous 2 is due to be released on June 7.
