A job listing that was pulled from Activision’s official careers page revealed that Sledgehammer Games is working on a new Call of Duty game. The developer had been rumored on working on a Call of Duty spinoff before being assigned to help Infinity Ward develop Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
The ad was seeking a Senior FX Artist who would ”create the most exceptional real-time effects with hyper realism for (its) next Call of Duty game” with ”solid professional experience and knowledge of the limitations and performance of current generation hardware (360, PS3).”
The current confirmed Call of Duty game is Black Ops 2, which is due to be released on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on the 13th November 2012.
