With Steam's newly released list compiling the best selling games of last year, it's clear the problematic port of Dishonored 2 diminished the sequel's hold on the PC market. Bethesda is looking to dodge that issue with this year's Prey release. Speaking to The GameInformer Show before the turn of the year, the creative director of Arkane Studio's 'Prey' team commented on the rocky launch of the studio's last game and wants to ensure potential players that Prey will be "really flawless"

Their last game - the eagerly anticipated Dishonored 2 - released to very harsh user reviews on Steam that painted a troublesome picture for the game's state on various PC configurations. While the game ran as well as you'd expect on low end machines, those with mid or higher-tier rigs could experience similar performance with much more expensive hardware. Due out later this year, Prey is a re-imagining of the original 2006 Prey. While a sequel was originally in the works, a whole mess of corporate struggles resulted in Bethesda picking up the licenses.
