Who's to say we've been seeing the latest Sniper Elite 4 videos in their truest form? The developers, most likely. They're baking DirectX 12 right in there. Again, it's a mystery to us for now, but why would they put out gorgous trailers using a subpar API? We haven't known it until now, but Rebellion's Sniper Elite 4 will bring all the goodness of DirectX 12 to the shores of Italy next week.

Speaking about the announcement, Rebellion's co-founder Chris Kingsley said "We've worked really hard to make SNIPER ELITE 4 our biggest and best game ever. And now the power of PlayStation®4 Pro, and DirectX 12 on PC, means we can take things even further for our fans who want the best sniper experience in the world. We're turning everything up to 12!" It's too bad they didn't bring the release date two days closer to match. It's still a Valentine's Day release. We're not sure whether that's a good or bad decision.
