Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia Celebrates St.

SEGA and Creative Assembly are celebrating St. George’s Day today with the release of a new Cinematic Trailer for Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia, which pays homage to the game's English heritage.

Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia is set in the year of 878 AD, where the English king Alfred the Great has repelled the Viking invasion at the battle of Edington, which in turn sparks unification across the land.

"It was under Alfred the Great and his immediate successors that a unified Anglo-Saxon kingdom was first forged." said Thrones of Britannia Game Director, Jack Lusted. "As the only major kingdom left standing after the Viking Invasion, it was under the banner of Wessex that the lands the Great Viking Army had conquered, known as the Danelaw, were retaken. The name of this kingdom changed from Wessex to England." You can check out the new cinematic trailer below. Thrones of Britannia will be released for the PC on 3rd May, with pre-orders currently on offer at a 10% discount until launch on Steam. Creative Assembly has told us that it will donate 25% of its profit from every pre-sale of Thrones of Britannia from now until launch, to War Child UK.
