Development of RollerCoaster Tycoon World changes hands again, now with Nvizzio Creations

Atari's reboot RollerCoaster Tycoon World has changed development house again for a third time, so for now it's being handled by Nvizzio Creations based out of Montreal, Canada. Will it stay there? Originally it was Pipeworks Software creating the new RollerCoaster Tycoon, but that switched to Area 52 Games back in December.

The first footage from the next installment in the ever-popular Rollercoaster Tycoon series dropped earlier this month, and it's fair to say the response from fans was a little... lukewarm. In response, Rollercoaster Tycoon World's executive producer 'Mattlab' has penned a blog post explaining that the footage was very much pre-alpha, and therefore not representative of the final product.

RollerCoaster Tycoon World development changes hands from Pipeworks to Area 52 Games

RollerCoaster Tycoon World, the next installment in the long-running theme park management series, has seen a change of developers. Out goes Pipeworks, who have handled the game up until now, and in comes Area 52 Games. No specific reason for the change is given, but the team behind RCTW says they are "excited to continue working on RCTW, and are 100 percent focused on creating the next great RCT game!"
