Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear Solid series, has revealed that Guns of the Patriots has had content cut and a lot compressed to fit the enormous game onto the Blu-Ray disc. So serious is this space issue that the Japanese voiceovers will not be available to European or North American versions and vice-versa.
In defence of the Blu-Ray discs, they will have to hold both MGS4 and Metal Gear Online which will see its beta launch in late April.
"There's not enough space at all...There's not enough space. We always talked about where to cut and what to compress," says Kojima in an interview with Famitsu.
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is set to be exclusively released on the PS3, this June.
Blu-ray's 50GB capacity not enough to quench the thirst of MGS4
