For MMORPG'ers playing online and having a blast with your guild mates & chums as you regale stories of 'l33t', 'n00b' and just shear awesomeness are generally enough.
For some this simply just won't cut it as groups of gamers also like to 'assume' their characters identities to better escape to the online fantasy.
To that end EA Mythic are releasing short back stories for characters in a bid to help more would be serious role-play gamers to come out of the virtual 'RP closet'. Some MMORPGs already operate servers specifically for true role-player characters to frolic freely.
A recent story from EA Mythic called "It Takes All Kinds?” is told from the perspective of a Dwarven female named Brunhilda and how from gold dust sifting she's flung into a rescue mission.
The stories of WAR are full of substance and contain rich details that make role-playing easy. The special effort that has gone into the writing of quests and the journal within WAR is just one of many things that make this game truly special and enjoyable, particularly for role-players and anyone who loves to get into their character!
