Flagship Studios was beset with troubling woe again and again until its doors closed, buckled and burnt to the ground. Now Runic Games has emerged.
The new studio is made up of the Mythos team and is headed by Travis Baldree and Max Schaefer, both influential figures of the MMO now in limbo.
"The former Flagship Studios Seattle team is proud to announce their reformation as Runic Games," reads the official blurb on their new site.
"As the team responsible for the highly-anticipated Mythos at Flagship Studios, Runic Games intends to continue to use their expertise in the Action-RPG MMO genre to create the best games in this market."
"Announcements about Runic Games' forthcoming projects will be made in the coming days," concludes Runic's site.
T3 Entertainment, an Asian publishing house, announced it has the rights to Hellgate: London and Mythos now and fully intends to see the games supported. They announced they were setting up a San Francisco team to take over the projects.
