SEGA’s Valkyria Chronicles has failed to leave much of an impact last month as it shifts just over 33,000 units, Japans opening week in April saw 77,000 copies sold.
This holiday has been crammed with big names like Call of Duty: World At War, Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, Resistance 2, Fable II… not much room left for charming titles.
It long been argued that releasing so many big hitters in the holiday isn’t exactly the best strategy any more. Huge GTA IV sales before the summer are a testament that release dates themselves don’t matter much. If you build it, they will come.
PS3’s Valkyria Chronicles failed to nudge its way into the top ten SKUs in North America.
