Providing you can kidnap the ”right writers and directors” for the project, Spider-man director Sam Raimi reckons a WoW flick would be awesome.
It’s all those ”fantastic landscapes and rules” which would lead to brilliance apparently, of course they’d have to cameo some gold farmers and the clueless newb.
”There’s ‘World of Warcraft’ — what an awesome video game!” said Raimi, reports MTV.
”It has such great, adventurous characters in it and such fantastic landscapes and rules. … You could make a brilliant ‘World of Warcraft’ movie — as fine as any of the best superhero movies — if you had the right writers and directors.”
MTV were trying to explore what makes video game movies suck big time, sadly I doubt many new lessons were drawn, or learnt. Max Payne is the most recent big video game to flick adventure which just so happens to suck, ah well, maybe next time we’ll nail it.
