According to a TenTonHammer report, Funcom are giving the boot mostly to the staffers in customer service and quality assurance in their US employee roster.
This throws great uncertainty over the Age of Conan MMO which was greatly anticipated but might not be retaining interest after all. No word from Funcom just yet.
”Rumor has it that Funcom fired about 70% of their U.S. Workforce today. Sources say that they were released this morning, the cuts are mostly in the Customer Service and Quality Assurance departments,” reports TenTonHammer’s ‘mattlow’.
Age of Conan had a lot going for it but the lack of initial zones to explore soon began to grate players, also the drop in immersion after the rather lengthy and enjoyable ‘tutorial’ island didn’t help matters either. Hang on in there Conan!
