Former Sony executive big wig Phil Harrison is at the helm of Infogrames, he took over to help steer the company.
The SCi board has turned down Infogrames – Atari if you like – offer, but others are circling the Eidos parent looking for an opening to bite.
”Infogrames’ proposal is financially disciplined and recognises the strengths of both companies,” read a Infogrames statement.
”Although the indicative offer is subject to standard conditions relating to due diligence, the receipt of irrevocable undertakings from certain SCi shareholders and the recommendation of the SCi Board, it is not subject to financing.”
”Infogrames has sufficient resources to satisfy the cash element of its indicative offer and has secured commitments in relation to the potential working capital requirements of the enlarged group. Importantly, Infogrames is in a position to move expeditiously with its proposal.”
Can SCi fend off these investment advances? Are the adventures of Lady Croft safe? Warner Bro’s recently increased their stake in the firm and even Ubisoft is in the mix.
