NinjaBee’s downloadable XBLA title ‘Band of Bugs’ will soon have those goody-two-shoe Xbox 360 avatars brawling and flinging projectiles. Woohoo.
It will be the first real time avatars have been given a chance to be something beside non-violent puppets. A free update will publish on July 8th adding them in, plus a new DLC pack.
The avatars will be patched into the story and multiplayer modes in Band of Bugs, which goes for 800 Microsoft Points on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Launching the same day is a new downloadable content pack called ‘Tales of Kaloki’, priced at 240 Microsoft Points.
”The Tales of Kaloki DLC is Band of Bugs but with long-range combat using lasers, rocket launchers, OO rays and a ton of other sweet weapons to blow attacking space ships to smithereens,” said NinajBee man Steve Taylor. ”It’s all the wackiness from Outpost Kaloki X and tactics from Band of Bugs rolled into one.”
The question on everyone’s lips: When are avatars going to ‘throw down’ in Unreal Tournament? Or at least get a guest star appearance on Street Fighter?
