Like watching and recording TV through your PS3 console? Well Sony has been kind enough to release a free update that kicks it up a notch.
Exec Mark Bunting dishes on the new update, and how to get it, through a video clip blog of sorts. The SD upscaler provides "sharper pictures" and "improved contrast" to normal TV shows.
"One day we want PlayTV to work in high definition," said Bunting, "but we can only do that when free digital TV comes in HD, which at the moment only happens in France and Spain."
Users can now access their TV much faster through XMB, as well as enjoy new fast-forward and rewind speeds for recorded shows with better volume controls.
