Those who've managed to 'score' themselves an illegal copy of Bungie's Halo 3: ODST will face the might of Microsoft's perma-ban fury on Xbox Live, twitters Stephen Toulouse.
Gamers who were sold early copies and those sent for review "are safe from my team's ban-hammer," confirmed Microsoft's Toulouse. No word on how they spot "illegitimate ODST".
"I spy with my little eye some illegitimate ODST players. No early play for you. Commencing perma-bans," Toulouse, later : "To be clear, legitimate players (those who bought it early, reviewers, etc.) are safe from my team's ban-hammer."
So those Frenchie gamers who were exceedingly lucky enough to pick up a copy early won't face a huge perma-ban stamp on their accounts, and neither shall us journo types.
Halo 3: ODST is being exclusively released on Xbox 360 this September 22nd.
