The registration process for StarCraft II’s beta has started, those interested need to sign-in with a Battle.net account and own at least one Blizz game.
For now a problem exists for European fans, World of Warcraft accounts and Battle.net aren’t linked like they are in the US. Blizz plan to ”merge” them before the Euro beta phase.
”We plan to add the ability to merge a World of Warcraft account into a Battle.net account in Europe prior to the European phase of the StarCraft II beta, so that World of Warcraft players there will have a chance to participate,” reveals the beta FAQ.
What does this mean right now? Well fans wanting some beta action for StarCraft II will need to own an older Blizzard game, like that one called Diablo II or something, before they can opt-in at the moment.
