HanbitSoft has announced fans of Mythos shouldn’t worry, the MMO will see the light of day with the publisher doing their ”best” claims boss Yoora Kim.
Right now the title is being ”reconstructed”, with the aim to make it ”more suitable as an online game.” HanbitSoft hope to weed out the weak and nurture the strong in Mythos.
”Many gamers have been worrying and wondering about Mythos,” said HanbitSoft’s Kim, ”but they don’t have to worry now. We are doing our best to make the game globally popular.”
Mythos designer ‘Alboos’ is planning regular developer updates on the free-to-play MMO, which adopts a Diablo-like template.
”Right now, Mythos is in good condition and being reconstructed to become more suitable as an online game. We are trying to keep the strengths that the game used to have, and make them even stronger, while eliminating its weaknesses,” said the designer in their first blog.
”As many of you already know, Mythos has come from Diablo. We are trying to inherit those things you enjoyed and loved about Diablo, and put in more content for more exciting multiplayer.”
Ex-Mythos developer Runic Games has moved on to a new action-MMO called Torchlight, which is sufficiently on its way to get showcased next month at E3.
See below for an alpha build of MMO Mythos from 2007, though HanbitSoft is likely to change things radically from it’s original design.
