The writer says it’d be ”a shame” if they didn’t give them a nod, and also said many fans have yet to find ”smaller treats” littered in ODST.
”It would be a shame if we made a game about the planet Reach - a place where Buck, the ODST’s squad leader, was known to be - and not have him appear in some way, shape or form,” scribe Staten told G4 in an interview.
As for the ”smaller treats” in Halo 3: ODST, you’d best look to those license plates. ”Folks looking forward to Halo: Reach would be wise to pay particular attention to the licence plates on New Mombasa’s ‘Genet’ coupes,” said Staten.
Halo: Reach is due to enter a beta next year, of which ODST gamers are guaranteed access. What type of beta this will be remains a secret, though Firefight’s return is rumoured. Reach takes place during a Covenant invasion of the Human colony.
