If you can cast your mind back to the beginning of this year then you might remember Kodu, a game capable of helping gamers create games, for other gamers!
There’s no date set in stone but they expect a release by the end of the month. Kodu is a little bit like LittleBigPlanet in terms of user-creation, but is otherwise completely different.
”I’m doing final content passes as we get ready for release, which is the end of June. (Exact day TBD)” blogged the Kodu devs.
The idea behind the project is to let those ”15 minutes of sheer brilliant genius” within all of us have a go at creating our very own games. LittleBigPlanet lets users create within a game world, whereas Kodu has no such template to work within.
Kodu is being released through the Xbox Live Community Games Channel, and may or may not be given freely. Think Kodu could help get that idea burning inside of you out to the masses?
